Customized
Wedding Ceremonies
When I am engaged to create and perform a custom
wedding ceremony, I meet with my couple to get
to know them and we spend about an hour or so
together and make some decisions resulting in
the creation of a beautiful and memorable
ceremony. Actually, what I love to do best,
besides performing ceremonies, is helping
couples to create the ceremony of their heart's
desire. I have a lovely order of ceremony
(sequence that a ceremony follows) and lots of
choices therein. I have a lot of great ideas of
how to make your ceremony special, personal,
memorable and even funny, if you like.
Once the ceremony is created, I email you a copy
of the ceremony I have created for your approval
and/or for you to make changes as you desire.
If
the ceremony has a lot of movement in it, I
suggest I be present at the rehearsal the day
before, if my schedule permits.
After the ceremony I complete the paperwork with
your witnesses and file the license with the
appropriate County Clerk/Recorder.
My
fee for a custom ceremony depends on a number of
factors: the length of time we spend together to
make ceremony choices, the complexity of the
ceremony and how long it takes to create it
(i.e.: biographies take a long time to create
well), the number and complexity of subsequent
revisions changes, and/or additions to the
ceremony, whether there is a rehearsal I need to
attend, preparation of keepsake copies of the
ceremony, and the location I need to travel to
if further than 20 miles from Santa Barbara.

Semi-Customized
Wedding Ceremonies
I
use a really beautiful ceremony and customize it
to your preferences regarding vows, and whether
it is civil, religious, or spiritual. I meet
with you shortly before the ceremony to discuss
how the ceremony will go and calm the
pre-wedding jitters of the happy bride and
groom! I then perform your ceremony, complete
the paperwork and am available for photographs.
Finally, I file your license with the
appropriate County Clerk/Recorder.
