A Personal Message From Rev. Terri
My joy lies in creating and performing
beautiful and memorable wedding ceremonies.
I love working with my couples whether it’s
as a Marriage and Family Therapist
conducting pre-marital counseling, or
helping my couples deal with the challenges
and pressures that arise out of creating an
event of such special importance; or as your
Wedding Officiant, simply getting to know
you both before the happy day arrives.
Even as a young child I wanted to be a
minister, a spiritual teacher and a
counselor -a dream that has happily come
true for me. I so very much enjoy being a
Wedding Officiant because it combines each
of the things that I love to do—creative
writing, supporting and counseling people,
public speaking and being the alchemist that
transforms an engaged couple into a husband
and wife.
“I
love being in the space of that
circle of love where two people are
experiencing this amazing
transformational ritual. It is a
truly magical space to be in and a
thrill to be a part of each and
every time.”
About
Pre-Marital Counseling
As a state-licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, I have spent many hours over the
years talking with couples whose marriages
are being challenged. So, it pleases me very
much when a couple who is marrying asks me
to conduct pre-marital counseling sessions
with them because it gives me the chance to
empower couples with helpful tools and to
teach them how to avoid common pitfalls that
can crop up in the course of an otherwise
happy marriage.
Together we talk about communication—which
is, in truth, an art form that must be
mastered, conflict resolution, blending
families, finances, and negotiating the
slippery slopes of blending different
lifestyle, habits, and upbringing into one
happy new family.
It is my pleasure and my honor to be
available to my couples from the initial
call to the last handshake and, if need be,
whenever the desire for counseling or a
happy update to the couple’s lives is
shared.
